The world is brimming with violence right now, and so much of it is angled towards women. Each of us has suffered at the hands of men in our own lives, we light a candle, bow our heads & sew the dominance out of some of the men in our lives (and hopefully remove some of the power of those tyrants). For every man who has belittled, beaten, raped, manipulated, lied, used or broken promises to us, we stand in solidarity with our sisters around the globe to strengthen them and raise their voices against circumstances worse than domestic violence. Light your candles, tie your bundles with the names of the men who have wronged you. Know that every prayer you make helps another woman gain the strength to fight on another day. These men do not own us – any of us. Use your rage & heartache to set another woman free.
