1. First: A State Is NOT an Emotion

PLEASE tattoo this somewhere on your psyche.

A state is not:

  • a feeling

  • a mood

  • a vibe

  • an affirmation

  • a high vibration

  • a moment of positivity

A state is an identity, a version of you, a psychological position, a role… a “self”.Β  It is the YOU who already has the thing.

Once you understand this, manifestation becomes… embarrassingly easy.


2. States Are the Source Code of Your Life

You do not manifest what you want. You manifest who you are being. Okay and now read that again.

States are:

  • your assumptions

  • your expectations

  • your reactions

  • your interpretation of events

  • your sense of self

  • your place in the world

Your state tells your subconscious: β€œThis is reality now.” And the subconscious then moves EVERYTHING to match it.


3. How States Actually Work (ADHD Edition)

Imagine you are playing a video game.

You choose a character class:

  • Wizard

  • Barbarian

  • Rogue

  • Bard

  • β€œHot Bitch Who Gets Everything She Wants Because Of Course She Does”

Your abilities come FROM your class. A wizard cannot use barbarian skills. A bard cannot rage. A cleric cannot backstab for 10d6 damage.

Likewise: The β€œbroke and panicked” state cannot receive money with ease.

The β€œunlovable and abandoned” state cannot receive unconditional affection.

The β€œchronically unlucky” state cannot manifest a lucky break.

But the moment you pick a new state? New abilities. New outcomes. New reality. You did not become a different person. You just selected a different character sheet.


4. You Shift States ALL THE TIME β€” You Just Do Not Notice

Example:

Morning:

β€œI am a competent adult doing my best.”

14 minutes later:

β€œI am an ancient sea witch made of rage and caffeine.”

3 hours later:

β€œA sweet confused raccoon who wants snacks.”

Night:

β€œCEO of Overthinking Incorporated.”

YOU ARE ALREADY A SHAPESHIFTER.

Manifestation simply asks you to be deliberate about which identity you hand the steering wheel to.


5. States Override Thoughts and Emotions (This Is the Good Part)

Neville never said you must:

  • think positive

  • feel happy

  • be calm

  • love yourself

  • have zero doubt

  • β€œbelieve 100%”

He said:

β€œYou will know your state by your reactions.”

Your thoughts can be chaotic. Your mood can be trash. Your anxiety can be loud. But if your state is stable? Your manifestation is stable.

You can be:

  • depressed

  • messy

  • overwhelmed

  • inconsistent

  • hormonal

  • grieving

  • furious

…and STILL be locked into a state that manifests. The subconscious reads identity, not emotional weather patterns.


6. How to Choose a State (The Easy Way)

Ask one question:

β€œIf the thing were already mine, who would I be right now?”

Not in the future. Not in fantasy.

Right now.

Examples:

If loved β†’ you feel safe, chosen, β€œof course they adore me.”

If wealthy β†’ you feel relief, spaciousness, β€œI will handle it,” options.

If confident β†’ you feel β€œI am allowed to exist loudly.”

You do not have to feel it constantly.

You only need to know that is who you are now.


7. How to Enter a State (Even If You Are a Chaotic Gremlin)

Here are methods that do not require Buddha brain:

Method A: The Micro-Scene

Imagine one tiny moment:

  • someone congratulates you

  • your bank app looks different

  • someone says β€œI am so happy for you”

  • you see your name on something official

10 seconds = identity shift. Done.

Method B: The Inner Tone Shift

Say to yourself:

β€œThis is already mine.” and notice how your thoughts change.

Method C: The Version-of-You Swap

Think of times you acted like a different version of yourself:

  • bold version

  • competent version

  • beloved version

  • cannot-be-bothered version

  • villain era version

Choose one. Wear it like a jacket.

Method D: The β€œOf Course” Method

Say: β€œOf course this works for me. I am ME.”

(Extra potent for fire signs.)


8. Staying in a State β‰  Never Leaving It

Your brain will jump states like a frog on Red Bull. That is okay, normal and expected.

All you have to do is: RETURN to your chosen state. Over and over.

Gently. Casually. Like returning to your favourite seat on the couch.

Neville literally said:

β€œPersist in the assumption, not the emotion.”

The state is a home. You are just wandering around sometimes. Like a raccoon rummaging in the cabinets looking for something edible… or breakable.


9. The Reason States Work Faster Than Anything Else

Because states decide your:

  • attitudes

  • assumptions

  • behaviour

  • boundaries

  • opportunities you notice

  • opportunities you create

  • people you attract

  • people you remove

  • reactions

  • expectations

  • impulses

  • self-worth

States are like installing a new operating system. Your brain runs the new programming automatically. You do not β€œmake” manifestations happen. Your subconscious pulls the world into alignment with your identity.

State + Feeling-of-Done β†’ Subconscious Acceptance β†’ 3D Shifts

Or, even simpler:
