Yovani 13:18
And Yovani said:
Do not mistake repetition for truth, nor familiarity for wisdom.
Even the stones grow tired of being stepped on.
He watched the people build their houses from borrowed words,
each brick taken from a neighbourβs mouth,
each roof sagging under inherited certainty.
Yovani laughed, but gently,
For laughter is sharper than judgment
and leaves fewer scars.
He told them:
You keep asking for signs while ignoring the weather.
You ask for salvation while refusing rest.
You memorise the map and never walk the road.
Then one asked him,
How shall we know what is ours to carry?
And Yovani answered:
If it makes you smaller, set it down.
If it demands silence, question it.
If it cannot survive being laughed at, it was never holy.
That day, many were unsettled, and some were relieved,
which is how truth usually enters a room.
