We spend our lives worrying about monsters.
The ones under the bed.
The ones in dark forests.
The ones with sharp teeth.
Oddly enough, I have met very few monsters.
I have met frightened people.
Lonely people.
People so convinced that love was scarce they learned to bite before anyone could leave.
The real danger is not mythical creatures.
It is forgetting that fear can make ordinary people act like them.
The trick is not to become one yourself.
